Set throughout the Inland Empire, Riverside University Health System (RUHS) is a general health care system, which includes treatment for mental health and substance use disorders in residential or outpatient programs. They are accredited by both the Joint Commission and CARF. Their Riverside Neighborhood Health Center treats both mental health and substance use disorders, as well as other health conditions. RUHS' Riverside Neighborhood Health Center operates its outpatient programs on weekdays from 7:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. and on weekends from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. They also do express care on weekdays from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and on weekends from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Their programs cater to children, transitional age youth (16-25), midlife adults, and older adults 60+, offering tailored interventions for clients in each age group. RUHS adopts a "whatever-it-takes" philosophy, providing personalized support that includes therapy, housing assistance, and daily life skills training to help individuals achieve stability and long-term recovery. They use medication support, medication-assisted treatment (MAT), multidimensional family therapy (MDFT), and coordination with primary care doctors to deliver the best treatment for each client.
