About Heroes' Mile

Heroes’ Mile is a veterans-only program treating substance use disorder with inpatient and outpatient services. Their evidence-based treatment includes therapies such as group therapy, 1-on-1 therapy, recreational therapy, family/marriage counseling, nutrition education, and more. Heroes’ Mile addresses the impacts of PTS and MST experienced while serving in the military. They treat various addictions and psychological issues, including drug and alcohol use, PTSD, and military sexual trauma. The center also facilitates 12 Step meetings and offers counseling services for family members of clients. Some of their recreational activities include art therapy, equine therapy, and physical fitness. Heroes’ Mile is set on 10 acres of secluded land and is set on a nature-filled campus. They boast private and shared bedrooms, outdoor lounge spaces, a scenic pond area, a basketball court, and a volleyball court. Heroes' Mile is Joint Commission accredited and accepts private and public insurances.

Heroes' Mile offers a treatment experience in Deland, Florida that combines clinical rigor with personal warmth. Available programs include Residential Rehab, Co-Occurring Mental Health, Outpatient and Detox. Clients participate in a carefully designed program that progresses from assessment and stabilization through active treatment and transition planning. Areas of specialization encompass alcohol, drug addiction, trauma and post traumatic stress disorder. The center's approach recognizes recovery as an ongoing process and provides resources for continued growth.
